Brian A. Day Brian has been providing media and presentation training for environmental professionals since 1977. He is Founder and President of Environmental Communication and Training, LLC, as well as editor of Applied Environmental Education and Communication: An International Journal – a quarterly peer-reviewed journal. EC&T has provided training to the Academy for Educational Development, Duke University, and for the United National International Waters Program in Samoa. Brian regularly provides training in media, presentation, public speaking and social marketing. He was director of Environmental Education and Communications at the Academy for Educational Development and the Project Director of the USAID global Environment Education and Communication Project (GreenCOM). While at GreenCOM he has trained the Director General of the Tanzania National Parks, the Indonesian Environment Minister, USAID environmental technical officers, environmental journalists and environmental NGO leaders in multiple countries, and various environmental educators and communicators from around the world. Brian spent two years as a media and presentation trainer for Susan Peterson Productions, one of America’s premier media training firms. There he trained NGO environmental leaders, VP’s of the World Bank, leading doctors for the National Institutes of Health, the lead engineers and scientists behind a large number of NASA space and satellite missions, corporate CEO’s, and many other technical clients. He has also served as Director of Media Relations, World Wildlife Fund & Conservation Foundation, and Director of Communications, Environmental Defense Fund, where he lead the training efforts for all the scientists and lawyers of both organizations. He also served as Director of the National Office Paper Recycling Project; and was one of the Founders of Ecology Communications, a national environmental television production company; and, as director of local and statewide environmental organizations. He just completed his term on the board of the North American Association of Environmental Education.
