Frequently Asked Questions
Getting your organization in front of people in a positive light is much more powerful than advertising! Increasingly we are becoming a nation and world dependent on electronic media. Most people have no experience and often considerable fear in dealing with the press and even more with microphones. Why not prepare your staff to address the media in advance, so you are prepared to take advantage of opportunities that come you way – or even plan how to create those opportunities. 2. What do I get if I hire EC&T to provide media training? EC&T develops each media training session tailored to the needs, issues and subject matter of the client. You will learn to understand how the media works, how audiences react, how to get your message across, how to develop your message and how to answer reporters questions so your organization looks good to their and your audience. We focus on how to get your half of the control in an interview. All this is done with tips,
interactive fun sessions and real practice, with feedback and the ability to
look at yourself and see what is going well and what needs attention. 3. Why Presentation Training? Each day 30 million presentations are given. Millions fail and millions more are met with yawns! Every business decision turns on your ability to tell your story. When people in America are asked what they fear most, speaking in front of people is almost always number one. EC&T provides presentation training that helps people. Training not only helps people get over some of their fear, but gives them ways to make telling their story effective, memorable, and persuasive. What does this mean to you? You close more deals, sell more product, recruit more members, secure more investments and/or accomplish more of your organization’s mission. What is more, the presentations become more interesting for people inside the organization as well as out. This means improved productivity, more engaged team members, more motivated employees, and a more successful organization.
A majority of presentations have way too much material in them for effective presentation or retention. EC&T gives you techniques for deciding what is most important, how to structure your presentation, how to present material in the most persuasive manner. We help you with methods for sizing up your audience, finding out what they want and need, and then help you structure your presentation so you meet their needs. We also help with the mechanics of microphones, body language, voice projection and use of audio-visual materials. Most people think their presentation is through with the closing, but often it is the questions and answers at the end that close the deal -- or lose it. We work with our clients on how to prepare for questions, and how to answer them effectively to ensure your audiences have no remaining doubt!
EC&T will come to your
location or will arrange to have it held offsite. We have worked around the world and right here in our
community. We will work with you to
decide if it will be more effective to do in in-house or offsite.
EC&T is a small firm with
low overhead. So if you compare these
prices with other communication training firms, we tend to be about one third
of the price per day of our competition.
We want to make these skills available to you at an affordable price One-day workshops for groups of
up to 7 or 8 are: $1,500 per day One-on-one workshops are usually
half day and cost: $900 per session All prices are plus travel
and venue if we provide. We offer presentation of
material to larger audiences, but with large audience groups the participants
do not actually practice the techniques and see their own individual successes
and need for improvement. We also offer a large variety of
other time periods, group sizes and specific needs. Just contact us for the services you need. Commitments to multiple sessions can be highly cost effective. Call us and we will work with you on your specific requirements. If you have further questions, please contact EC&T at assist@envcomm.com
